Does anyone know how much the energy bill from a refrigerator is? Also, what about the diff in cost between an energy-star version vs. non-energy-star?
I’m thinking of getting a second one and just wanted an idea of how much more my electricity bill will be. I see a lot of good ones that I could get for less than $500. But, I wanted to know if the cheap ones that don’t have the “energy star” will end up costing more in the long run.
Thanks,
Steve

I don’t even think that makes a big difference. my husband and i had a fridge about 8 years (non enery saver) i kept complaining that we paid WAY too much electricity since we are hardly ever home .. so figured it was because of the fridge. we went out last month to buy a energy star.. last week we got our bill and it was higher!!! so i don’t even think that energy savers really help!!!
electricity went up a few months ago, so it’s not like it went up again.. with the energy star, it SHOULD have gone down.
welldont listen to that person because elec just went up in price
